This free webinar will highlight and showcase how to use all of the resources on PE Central (www.pecentral.org), one of the most popular web sites for PE teachers. Charles Silberman, creator of the web site New Physical Educator and current elementary PE teacher in Maryland, will guide you through each section of the site so you can use it effectively in your PE program. He shows you how to access and search through the thousands of lesson plans and ideas, assessments and best practices so you can more effectively use the site in your PE program. He will also go over how you can sign up and access online courses from PE Central so you can grow professionally and earn recertify-cation hours. Lastly, he will share with you how you can become connected with thousands of other PE teachers through PE Central’s social media communities.

Resources on the site include over 2000 physical education and health lesson ideas and Best Practices, Professional Development online courses and on-site workshops, a growing media center including 100+ videos, and a series of programs designed to motivate children to improve their fitness levels (Log It), activity skills (The PE Central Challenge) and their health and nutrition knowledge.
