12 Days of Winter Fitness Dance Video (Free)
FREE Holiday Dance to Get Kids Moving Now!
Description
The 12 Days of Winter Fitness musical movement dance activity uses a familiar song with revised lyrics to keep kids physically active! Challenge your students to create their own “winter” movements such as:
- Reindeer gallop and dash for heart-pumping cardio
- Snowflakes twirl and leap for spatial awareness
- Snow angels stretch and sweep to build coordination
- Penguins waddle to boost balance skills
Instruction can be given for a line dance or scattered formations, all without the need for any equipment.
This free course includes a video, and the first 16 minutes demonstrate instructing a group of fourth graders with their dance fitness moves. At the 16:36 mark, the 12 Days of Winter Fitness song plays so that you can use it for your class.
*There are no certificates for this course. It is a free resource and an opportunity to communicate and share with your peers and others.
